Manages activities related to an organization's compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act. Develops and implements strategies for all activities relating to compliance. Oversees the design and implementation of internal controls over financial reporting. Manages daily operations in support of financial controls testing for SOX 404 compliance. Reviews financial reporting, identifies process deficiencies and improvements, and reports test results to top management. Stays abreast of changes in regulations to ensure the organization's timely compliance. Serves as liaison between internal and external auditors. May develop and conduct SOX compliance training for employees. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.
