The Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic administers the domains www.kacr.cz and www.auditing.cz. The Chamber is not responsible for the content of any other domains.
The Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic is a self-governing professional organisation established by the Act on Auditors No 254/2000 Coll. for the purpose of regulation of the audit profession in the Czech Republic.
The Chamber has the following responsibilities:
- maintaining registers of auditors and audit firms,
- registering assistant auditors,
- managing audit exams or aptitude tests,
- proposing and appointing a half of examination committee members, the second half is being appointed by the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic,
- awarding certificates of successful passing the audit examination,
- issuing certificates of registration into the registers of auditors and audit firms,
- supervising the proper execution of the audit,
- setting national auditing standards, publishing translated International Standards on Auditing and related application clauses
- setting the Chamber’s internal professional regulations, in particular the Statutes, the Procedural Rules of the Assembly, the Election Rules, the Contributory Rules, the Code of Ethics, the Guidelines on Assistants’ Managed Practice, the Guidelines on the Continuous Professional Development, the Supervision Rules and the Disciplinary Rules,
- publishing registers of auditors and audit firms,
- taking decision about suspension of an audit license or deletion from the registers of auditors and audit firms,
- providing a range of educational programs for auditors, assistant auditors and other professionals,
- publishing professional Journal Auditor and specialized handbooks for auditors,
- sale of professional foreign publications,
- co-operation with national and foreign professional organizations and governmental institutions,
- activity connected with the membership in the international professional organizations IFAC and FEE.
